Merry Christmas! I’m a few days late, but I hope everyone had a great time celebrating the holiday.
I spent Christmas Eve with my mom’s side of the family. We had a traditional American dinner as well as some asian dishes like stuffed tofu, chow mein, and stir-fried veggies. My cousin Bee is usually in town for the holidays so every year, we play settlers. It’s almost tradition to do so and it’s always so much fun. I play that game about 3 or 4 times a year and it’s only when he is in town! We opened presents with my parents, brother and Anthony at my house on Christmas morning and spent the rest of the day with my dad’s side of the family, which is always crazy & loud but equally fun. I think there was about 35+ of us in the house having dinner and exchanging gifts. This year, we had PHO for Christmas. Different from the last 21 years where we did a potluck feast, but it was good nonetheless. I love holidays that call for a time of gathering. I love my family <3.
I didn’t ask for many material goods this Christmas, but it turns out I got everything I wanted and more. The best gifts are the ones that people put the most thought into or the least unexpected gifts. You know, the items you really wanted but didn’t ask for. I also gifted myself this year with a new comforter set (so cute! I’ll post a pic tomorrow), a handbag and a new coat. All much needed items so I’m satisfied. Hopefully my friends & fam were able to get a little something for themselves. It’s important to give to others, but also to yourself.
It’s suppose to snow this Wednesday. Hoping there is no storm like the one we had right before Thanksgiving. Good night Everyone!
